Health Care Reform?

Listening to the arguments and ideas about the new health care reform I have come to the realization that this whole thing is not really about health care reform at all it is about insurance reform. We have all heard the stats about the US spending on health care and how we as a country are getting sicker and sicker each year. CBS news reported in November of 2009 that there are 2.5 million unnecessary surgeries per year costing $700 billion ($100 billion alone on unnecessary cardiac surgery), 80% of a prescription drug use is of marginal use, and 36% of all diseases in the US has an iatrogenic cause (meaning that it is due to medical intervention). I doubt that reforming how these things are paid for will solve our countries problems. To solve our health care crisis we need true health care reform. Next week I will give you my thoughts on what true health care reform should look like.
